Chemical Process Engineer
CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER
Location: Buxton area
Hours: Monday to Friday, site-based
We are recruiting a Process Engineer for a major industrial manufacturing operation in the Buxton area.
This practical role focuses on improving a live production process. You will analyse plant performance, investigate problems, optimise process settings and identify opportunities to reduce energy usage, material waste and operating costs.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring process and plant-performance data
- Troubleshooting production and process issues
- Optimising control parameters and equipment performance
- Improving output, efficiency and process stability
- Reducing energy consumption, waste and costs
- Conducting process trials and root-cause investigations
- Working with production, maintenance and engineering teams
- Supporting improvement initiatives and occasional capital projects
You should have a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
This is not a graduate-entry position. You will need previous work-based process engineering experience gained within an industrial, manufacturing or production environment. This should include practical exposure to process control, plant or production equipment, process optimisation and technical troubleshooting.
Experience from any complex, continuous or process-led manufacturing sector will be considered. Direct experience of the employer''s particular industry is not essential.
The position requires attendance at the Buxton site five days per week. Please ensure the location represents a realistic daily commute before applying.
