Chemical Mixing Operator

This role is working with chemicals, full PPE is provided as well as training. Job Role The main purpose of the Mixing Shed Operator is to make products safely, correctly and on time. The operator must: To ensure all Health and Safety procedures and standards are always adhered to. Location and how to view specific COSHH assessments on the network Understand the hazards, risks and controls of the substances being handled Actively reduce waste and reduce or eliminate any risks of contamination to the working area and the environment. To ensure all Quality procedures and standards are always adhered to. Help achieve daily production targets. Any other reasonable duties requested by the management. MAIN DUTIES: To work in accordance with the Departmental General Risk Assessment (GRA). Ensure all stops, guards and safety features of the machinery used are functioning and checked. To only handle/work with chemical you have been trained to use. To follow the written procedures as set out in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Offload raw materials safely and store materials in the correct place. To ensure all materials and products are always clearly identifiable. Follow quality checks as specified in the S.O.P.
