You will play a key role in managing the kitchen team, planning menus, controlling food costs and stock, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the catering operation. Key duties will include but are not limited to: Lead and manage the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis. Prepare and cook high-quality food to a consistently high standard. Manage food ordering, deliveries, stock levels and stock rotation. Monitor food costs, portion control and wastage. Ensure all food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety regulations. Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety. Manage allergen and dietary requirements effectively. Organise staff rotas, holidays and daily kitchen duties. Train and develop members of the kitchen team. Ensure food is produced and served on time. Maintain accurate kitchen records and complete relevant paperwork.
