Berkeley Scott is recruiting experienced Chef Managers and School Chefs for immediate temporary agency work across Oxfordshire.andnbsp;We have a number of opportunities available within schools, colleges and education catering sites and are looking for experienced Chef Managers, Catering Managers, Head Chefs and School Chefs who can confidently step into a busy kitchen environment.

This is temporary agency work, with immediate starts and a mixture of ongoing and flexible assignments available. Many of our school catering roles offer Monday to Friday, daytime hours, providing an excellent work-life balance alongside competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities:

andbull; Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals within a school or education environment
andbull; Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen and catering service
andbull; Leading and supporting kitchen and catering teams
andbull; Menu planning, preparation and portion control
andbull; Managing allergens, dietary requirements and special diets
andbull; Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance
andbull; Stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
andbull; Ensuring consistently high standards of food quality and presentation

What we''re looking for:

andbull; Previous experience as a Chef Manager, School Chef, Catering Manager, Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef
andbull; Experience within school catering, education, contract catering or high-volume catering is desirable
andbull; Enhanced DBS preferred, ideally registered on the Update Service
andbull; Food Safety Level 2 certificate
andbull; Food Allergen certificate
andbull; Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens and dietary requirements
andbull; Confident managing a kitchen and leading a catering team
andbull; Reliable, professional and comfortable working across different catering environments
andbull; Available for immediate and upcoming agency assignments
