About the Role

Berkeley Scott is recruiting a temporary Chef Manager for agency assignments across Stafford, beginning this September within school and education settings. This role involves leading kitchen teams, managing daily food operations, and delivering high-quality meals. You will oversee kitchen operations, maintain rigorous food quality and hygiene standards, handle stock management, and ensure a positive dining experience for pupils and staff. The position pays £18.00 to £24.00 per hour, depending on experience and the end employer. Holiday Pay is included. Candidates should possess previous experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar senior catering role, with proven leadership and operational skills.

Berkeley Scott are actively recruiting experienced Chef Managers for temporary agency assignments across Stafford, supporting schools and education settings for the new school year starting in September.

We are looking for passionate and reliable Chef Managers who have experience leading kitchen teams, managing daily food operations, and delivering high-quality meals within a busy catering environment.

Pay: andpound;18.00andndash;andpound;24.00 per hour (Depending on Experience and End Employer)

As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene, managing stock, and ensuring a positive dining experience for students and staff.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Chef Manager or in a senior chef role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (essential)
  • Food Safety Level 2 certificate
  • Food Allergen Awareness certificate
  • Experience working within education, contract catering, or a similar environment is desirable
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy kitchen and support a team effectively

  • Managing day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Preparing fresh, high-quality meals
  • Leading and supporting kitchen staff
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and allergen procedures
  • Managing stock levels and reducing wastage
