Chef de Partie- New Gastro Pub Opening, Edinburgh West End
We are currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the team of a new gastro pub set to open in the heart of Edinburgh''s West End. This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team of a high-quality, food-led venue with a strong focus on seasonal menus, classic techniques, and elevated pub dining.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the kitchen''s day-to-day operation - running a section with confidence, maintaining consistency and standards, and supporting junior team members. This is a great fit for a chef who takes pride in their work and is ready to contribute to a new venture from the very beginning.

Key Responsibilities
- Run your assigned section (grill, larder, fryer, stove, etc.) during prep and service, producing dishes to spec with accuracy and consistency.
- Supervise and support junior chefs and kitchen assistants in maintaining high standards across food production and hygiene.
- Ensure all dishes are presented to the highest standard, maintaining consistency in flavour, portioning, and plating.
- Support stock control, ordering processes, and minimise kitchen waste wherever possible.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with HACCP and allergen procedures.
- Assist with the development of new menu items and daily specials in collaboration with the senior kitchen team.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and a cohesive guest experience.
- Take an active role in the training and mentoring of less experienced kitchen staff.

- Proven experience in a busy kitchen, ideally within a gastropub or similar food-led environment.
- Ability to lead a section confidently and stay calm under pressure.
- Solid understanding of food safety, allergen handling, and kitchen best practices.
