About the Role

Berkeley Scott seeks an experienced Chef De Partie for temporary school catering assignments across Uxbridge and nearby boroughs. Working Monday to Friday, daytime hours only, this position offers competitive pay and improved work-life balance. The successful candidate prepares fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, supports the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, upholds food hygiene and safety standards, and manages stock, including assisting with ordering. Assignments span Hillingdon, Hayes, Ruislip, Slough and Harrow, with flexible scheduling available to suit individual circumstances.

Berkeley Scott Education is currently recruiting experienced Chef de Parties to work across a range of schools and educational settings in Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Hayes, Ruislip, Slough, Harrow and the surrounding areas.

The Role

Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for students and staff
Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, food safety and cleanliness
Managing stock and assisting with food ordering where required
Working as part of a professional and friendly catering team

What We''re Looking For

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent chef position
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, professional, and well-presented
Own transport is advantageous but not essential

Essential Safeguarding Requirement

As these positions are within schools and educational environments, all applicants must:

- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate for the Child Workforce (preferably registered on the Update Service), OR

- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Child Workforce check prior to starting work.

Please note: A standard DBS, Basic DBS, or Adult Workforce DBS will not be suitable for these roles.
