Chef

Class 1 Personnel are working with a client based in Woodbridge, near Ipswich to recruit Chef at a local school to cover planned sickness. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef to work in a stable environment with a strong reputation for delivering great food.

Main job entails:

• Supervision of the unit including monitoring hygiene standards, staff training and all day to day operations of the kitchen.
• Undertake and/or lead a team where appropriate in the preparation, cooking and service of the meal.
• Administrative work, including placing orders, stock control and monitoring of food budgets. Checking and recording the amount, price and condition of all food/non-food deliveries and taking any necessary action required.
• To take responsibility for the standards of cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen premises and equipment whilst maintaining sufficient stock levels of cleaning materials.

• A confident, self-motivated, and driven person.
• Maintain high standards for food quality and customer service.
• Ideally experience in delivering good quality meals
• Knowledge of food safety and HAACP

In this role you will be working at a school covering planned sickness absence. The role will be covering Monday to Friday 08:00 - 13:30 starting ASAP pay rate for this Chef role is -16.00ph

You must have a valid in date enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role. All candidates will be required to

have a level 2 food hygiene certificate
