Chef and Catering Assistant

BBS Recruitment Ltd is currently recruiting experienced Chefs and Catering Assistants to work on an ad hoc basis within a care environment in Malton, North Yorkshire. Duties and Responsibilities for the Chef: Prepare and cook nutritious meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements. Follow the IDDSI Framework to prepare modified texture meals safely and accurately. Ensure all food is prepared to a high standard and served on time. Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. Comply with Food Safety, Health and Safety, and COSHH regulations. Work collaboratively with the catering team to deliver an excellent service. Chef Requirements: Previous experience as a Chef, preferably within a care, healthcare, or similar environment. Food Safety Level 2 Certificate Knowledge and experience of the IDDSI Framework Excellent understanding of food hygiene and allergen management. Duties and Responsibilities for the Catering Assistant: Support the chefs with food preparation and meal service. Assist in serving meals to residents in line with dietary requirements.
