This role focuses on steering and braking systems integration within a specialist automotive environment. It is a hands-on engineering and delivery role rather than a pure CAD design position, ideal for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for subsystem development, validation, and production readiness. Manage and deliver integration of steering column and brake reservoir systems into the vehicle architecture. Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to ensure components and assemblies are production-ready for low-volume manufacturing. Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of parts and systems. Support component and system validation activities, including test planning, issue investigation, and sign-off. Assess and manage carry-over components to ensure compatibility with the new vehicle platform.
