About the Role

This permanent position as a Chartered Structural Engineer sits with a growing consultancy near Sevenoaks, serving clients throughout London, Kent and Essex. The successful candidate will prepare structural calculations and design documentation covering reinforced concrete frames, steelwork, masonry, timber and hybrid systems, using tools such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, GSA, ETABS or Robot. Duties extend to managing project delivery, liaising with clients and mentoring junior staff. Applicants must hold chartered status with a relevant institution and bring proven experience across residential, industrial or infrastructure schemes. Salary ranges from £60,000 to £80,000 yearly, with an immediate start offered.

A well-established and rapidly growing structural engineering company located in Borough Green and operating across London, Kent and Essex is looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer at this pivotal stage of their growth.
The company deliver engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects from residential new builds to complex industrial and infrastructure schemes. An immediate start is available for this position.
Responsibilities as Chartered Structural Engineer:
- Producing structural calculations and design documentation for a range of structures
including RC frames, steel frames, masonry, timber and hybrid systems. - Carrying out analysis using industry software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, GSA, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis or equivalent).
- Managing design development from concept to construction.
- Undertaking structural assessments, surveys and reports for existing buildings including
condition surveys and load- bearing investigations. - Attending design team meetings, site visits and client presentations.
- Supervising work produced by Graduate and Technician - level staff.
We’re looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer with:
- Extensive post graduate experience in Structural Design within a UK consultancy
environment. - Ability to demonstrate experience in managing projects unsupervised.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software, strong hand calculation skills.
- Ability to use Tekla Structural Designer, ETABS, Robot, GSA or similar.
- Proficient in TEDDS or similar calculation management software.
- Must be a UK resident.
Desirable:
· Working knowledge of SuDS and surface water drainage design.
· BIM /Revit experience or familiarity with a BIM Level 2 environment.
In return you will receive a salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum plus Company Pension Scheme and realistic career progression to Senior Engineer and Associate Director level.
