Chartered Senior Engineer

Our client, a pivotal entity in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Chartered Senior Engineer for a contract position.

• Providing independent oversight as the CG300 works examiner on Gallows Corner
• Conducting site visits 3-4 times a week at the start of employment to inspect and sign off on 6 live sites
• Ensuring adherence to construction and highway standards
• Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Preparing detailed reports and technical documentation
• Managing and mentoring junior engineers on site
• Ensuring all engineering solutions are robust, cost-effective, and compliant with regulatory standards
• Maintaining an independent approach to project assessments and validations

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or IstructE
• Strong experience in highways, construction, and bridge engineering
• Proficiency in conducting site inspections and signing off on critical project milestones
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Experience in preparing comprehensive technical reports
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
