Job Title: CFD EngineerLocation: Barrow in Furness - On-siteRole Type: PermanentSalary: 42,000 - 50,000 + benefits Our client, an established defence engineering firm, require an experienced CFD Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team in Barrow in Furness. Working on cutting-edge marine systems, this role offers hands-on experience with high-performance computing (HPC) systems and advanced CFD tools. Support with relocation costs can be discussed and included in an offer package, subject to HR approval. What the role of the CFD Engineer entails:Support the Principal Engineer - Numerical Modelling with the development of the Stealth Engineering CFD capabilityRunning and interpreting CFD simulations to assess fluid dynamics and their impact on acoustic and non-acoustic signaturesSupporting concept development, design iterations, and verification activities using commercial CFD toolsPreparing technical reports and presenting findings to internal teams and stakeholdersWorking closely with engineers from other disciplines to integrate CFD insights into whole-platform solutionsAssisting in the development of testing strategies and experimental validation where appropriate What experience you need to be the successful CFD Engineer:Degree in a STEM discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, or MathematicsExperience using CFD software (such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM)Strong understanding of fluid mechanicsThe ability to ..... full job details .....
