HOMELESSNESS AND HOUSING Cessation of Duty ManagerThe Cessation of Duty Manager provides operational leadership, quality assurance and statutory oversight for all decisions relating to the ending of homelessness duties under the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. They ensure that decisions to end prevention, relief or main duties are lawful, defensible, timely and supported by clear written reasoning.Cessation of Duty Manager The postholder leads a team of Caseworkers responsible for managing cases through to the lawful conclusion of duties, ensuring that residents receive clear explanations, meaningful PHP updates, and appropriate support during transitions. They provide escalation for complex, high-risk or sensitive cases, including safeguarding, domestic abuse, severe vulnerability and public protection concerns.Cessation of Duty Manager Alongside their leadership responsibilities, the Manager holds a small caseload to maintain practice depth, support peaks in demand and model high-quality decision-making.
