Sentara Urgent Care Little Creek is now hiring a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant in Norfolk, VA!All Qualified Candidates Will Receive a Sign-on BonusSchedule:
Clinic hours - 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Scheduled hours and shifts may vary based on business need and candidates'' availability.Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant provides a safe environment, identifies and addresses safety principles for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs patient care tasks, procedures, and administrative duties as appropriate. Demonstrates the ability to assess situations objectively, consider alternatives, develop realistic action plans, and evaluate outcomes. Develops specific skills and knowledge required for medical assistants, maintains effective inter-departmental interactions, and follows policies, procedures, and practices. Operates productively and efficiently, utilizing resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible.Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or EquivalentCertification/Licensure:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic Certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hireExperience:
Clinical/Adminstrative experience preferred (1 year)Keywords:
