Centreless Grinder – Setter / Operator

We are recruiting an experienced Centreless Grinder to set and operate grinding machines, producing precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.

The Role:

• Set and operate centreless grinding machines.

• Carry out through-feed, in-feed and plunge grinding.

• Undertake precision centreless bar grinding.

• Produce multiple-diameter components using centreless form grinding.

• Carry out taper grinding.

• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.

• Adjust machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

Requirements:

• Previous experience setting and operating centreless grinding machines.

• Experience with the grinding processes listed above.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.

• Confidence using micrometers and other precision measuring equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.

The Package:

• Up to -20 per hour, depending on experience.

• Day shift working.

• Birmingham location.
