CDM Principal Designer

An established, multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, capable professional who can hit the ground running and become a key member of a growing team. The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, including residential, commercial, healthcare and infrastructure schemes throughout London, with values ranging from £500k to £500m+. Initially this is an office-based role to encourage collaboration with the architectural and design teams, moving to one day per week working from home. The Role Deliver both Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services. Provide practical CDM and health and safety advice from project inception through to completion. Collaborate closely with architects, design teams and clients to ensure effective design risk management. Attend design team meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects. Build strong client relationships while maintaining high technical standards and helping to secure new work. Mentor and develop CDM professionals. Experience Several years experience delivering the Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services. Previous construction or design background (e.g. Architect, Engineer or Construction Management- preferred) Strong client-facing, communication and business development skills.
