CDM Principal Designer

Are you a Principal Designer with experience in the Water industry?Are you a member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and IOSH?Location: Norwich Contract: 6 months initially, with potential for extension Working arrangement: Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office Rate: Negotiable - dependent on experience - INSIDE IR35The Role A main contractor is looking for an experienced Principal Designer to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across a framework in East Anglia.You will be responsible for fulfilling Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015, ensuring health and safety risks are identified, managed and reduced throughout the design and pre-construction phases.The role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with clients, designers and contractors to support safe project delivery. There is a significant pipeline of work to progress over the initial six-month contract.The position will require 2-3 days per week in the Norwich area as part of a hybrid working arrangement.Key Responsibilities Fulfil Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM 2015.Plan, manage and coordinate health and safety throughout the pre-construction phase.Identify and reduce foreseeable risks during design development.Support the preparation and management of Pre-Construction Information (PCI).
