CDM Principal DesignerA growing and ambitious construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their team in Leeds.The successful CDM Principal Designer will take a leading role in managing design risk across a varied portfolio of projects, working directly with clients, designers and contractors to ensure Health and Safety is considered from the earliest stages of design.This is a particularly strong opportunity for a CDM Principal Designer who enjoys having ownership of their projects and wants to join a consultancy where they can have a genuine influence on how the Principal Designer service develops.The CDM Principal Designer RoleThe successful CDM Principal Designer will lead the coordination and management of design risk throughout the pre-construction phase while acting as a key point of contact for clients and multidisciplinary project teams.Your responsibilities will include:Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015Leading the design risk management processReviewing drawings, specifications and technical informationIdentifying and communicating foreseeable Health and Safety risksPreparing and maintaining Pre-Construction InformationCreating and managing project design risk registersChairing design risk workshopsCoordinating Architects, Engineers and other DesignersAdvising clients and duty holders on their responsibilitiesMaintaining clear records of design decisions and actionsSupporting the continuous improvement of ..... full job details .....
