CDM Principal Designer

A well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy in Leeds is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their growing Health & Safety team.

The successful CDM Principal Designer will work alongside Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Building Surveyors on a varied portfolio of projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Principal Designer looking for greater responsibility, strong client exposure and progression within an established consultancy.

The CDM Principal Designer Role

The CDM Principal Designer will deliver Principal Designer and CDM Client Advisor services across projects including residential, commercial, healthcare, education and industrial developments.

Responsibilities will include managing design risk, preparing Pre-Construction Information, attending design meetings, undertaking site inspections and advising clients and project teams on their duties under CDM 2015.

You will manage your own portfolio of projects, building strong relationships with clients while ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.

The CDM Principal Designer

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 5+ years'' experience within CDM / Principal Designer services
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
• Construction, Engineering, Architecture or Health & Safety qualification
• APS membership, or working towards
• IOSH membership would be advantageous
• Strong client-facing skills
