Catering Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Unit Catering Supervisor/Manager to lead our school catering service and ensure pupils and staff receive a high-quality, safe and efficient food service. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, lead the catering team and ensure consistently high standards of food, hygiene, service and customer care. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the preparation and service of breakfast and lunchtime meals. Prepare and cook a range of meals, including special diets and allergy-safe meals. Manage food safety, hygiene, HACCP, COSHH and Natasha''s Law requirements. Lead, organise and support the catering team, including rotas, induction and training. Manage stock, ordering, resources, cash handling and relevant administration. Promote the catering service and encourage meal uptake. Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report any defects or incidents. Work closely with the Principal and school staff to deliver an effective service. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, presentation and professionalism. About You We are looking for someone who: Has experience in catering, ideally in a supervisory or management role. Has strong food safety and hygiene knowledge. Can confidently lead and motivate a team. Is organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
