About the Role

Our client is a well-established UK facilities management and construction organisation providing maintenance and engineering services across a varied portfolio of commercial sites.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Catering Service Engineer to join their team in Hampshire.

This is a field-based role involving the servicing, maintenance, repair and installation of commercial catering equipment, ensuring customers' equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive works across a range of commercial catering equipment.

Your duties will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial catering equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on gas and electrical equipment
• Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs
• Installing and commissioning catering equipment
• Carrying out fault finding and identifying the most appropriate repair
• Ordering and sourcing replacement parts where required
• Keeping customers informed and providing advice on equipment use and maintenance
• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate job records
• Working safely and in line with relevant legislation and company procedures
• Supporting colleagues and junior engineers where required

About You

We're looking for an experienced commercial catering engineer with a strong practical understanding of servicing and maintaining catering equipment.

Essential:

• COMCAT 1–5
• A recognised gas qualification
• Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment
• Full UK driving licence
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Desirable:

• Electrical qualification or relevant electrical experience
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience working with control systems
• Additional catering, gas or refrigeration qualifications

The client can be flexible around the wider range of qualifications for the right engineer, so if you have the core catering and gas experience but don't hold every qualification listed above, we'd still be interested in hearing from you.
