Catering Manager, Education, Peterborough, £42k Term time onlyOur client is looking for a strong Catering Manager to lead the catering at this secondary school based near Peterborough. As well as core feeding for approx. 900 pupils and staff, there is a 6 form cafe and ad hoc hospitality requirements.What you will be doing:Fully responsible for the running of the catering operationLeading, managing and developing a large team - both FOH and BOHLiaising with the Head of School, parents and pupilsManaging all financial aspects including budgets, forecasts, PandL and reportingMenu planning and managing dietary/allergensHands on in the kitchen as necessaryEnsuring all food is to the standard expected by the schoolWorking hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, term time only (42 weeks)What we are looking for:A strong Catering Manager or Chef ManagerIdeally experienced within catering for schools or BandI experienceA good manager - able to lead and manage all team membersCulinary experience as you will need to jump in the kitchenExcellent financial acumenExceptionally organised with attention to detail and presentationStrong in communication - able to liaise with pupils, school staff and parentsFlexible and willing with a positive, can do attitudePlease note that as a successful candidate, you will need to undertake a DBS check.Interested?
