Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to work at a local school in Hull on a full time, temporary basis.The RolePosition: Catering AssistantLocation: HullHours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 2:30pmPay Rate: 15 per hourStart Date: ASAPDuration: Until Christmas 2026Contract: Full-timeEssential RequirementsA valid Food Hygiene Certificate.A DBS registered on the Update Service.Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is desirable.The ability to work effectively as part of a team.A positive, flexible and hardworking attitude.Good communication and organisational skills.The ability to follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.Reliability and punctuality.The ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the preparation and serving of food.Supporting the kitchen team with daily catering duties.Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment clean.Cleaning and sanitising kitchen surfaces, utensils and work areas.Ensuring food hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.Assisting with the safe storage and handling of food.Helping with the setup and clearing of dining areas.Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and school staff.Following instructions from the kitchen supervisor or catering manager.Why Apply?Competitive pay of 15 per hour.Consistent, weekday working hours.No weekend work required.An opportunity to work within a local school ..... full job details .....
