SHC(phone number removed) Catering Assistant Durham, Beddell House Care Home Salary: 12.76 per hour Full and Part Time Opportunities Available The Vacancy The catering team provide high quality catering and dining support services within Beddell House Care Home, ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals and refreshments in a safe, clean and welcoming environment. The role of the Catering Assistant is to contribute to the high-quality catering service whilst maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety and resident care in accordance with company policies, legislative requirements, and best practice. The Catering Assistant will liaise with care staff and residents in a polite and person-centred way. Role-specific Duties: Catering Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Conduct routine equipment checks, report faults promptly, and remove any unsafe or defective equipment from service immediately. Undertake the preparation, delivery, and service of food and beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Assist in the day-to-day operation of kitchen and dining facilities, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Support residents during mealtimes, promoting dignity, independence, choice, and a positive dining experience.
