We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join a busy school kitchen team. You’ll play an important part in preparing and serving meals, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and creating a positive lunchtime experience for pupils. School experience isn’t essential. If you’re hardworking, enjoy being part of a team and can keep up with a busy lunchtime service, we’d love to hear from you. What you’ll be doing Assisting with basic food preparation and helping to get meals ready for service. Serving food to pupils and staff in a friendly and welcoming manner. Setting up counters, serving stations and dining areas before lunchtime. Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment. Keeping work surfaces, kitchen areas and equipment clean and hygienic. Helping with deliveries, food storage and stock rotation. Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods. Following food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
