Catering Assistant Location: Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and surrounding areas Hours: 8am-5.30pm (rota basis including weekends) Salary: £12.71 per hour Contract: Temporary ongoing About the Role: MPA Recruitment, on behalf of our client, are currently recruiting for Catering Assistants to work across a range of healthcare and public sector settings in Belfast. This role involves supporting kitchen and catering teams to deliver high-quality meal services while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards. The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and serving of meals in line with set menus Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times Support kitchen operations including dishwashing, cleaning, and stock rotation Ensure compliance with health and safety and infection control procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required Work efficiently as part of a team to deliver a quality catering service What We''re Looking For: Essential Criteria: Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends An enhanced Access NI disclosure will be required for this post.
