Position PurposeThe Lunchtime Assistant will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the quality of our lunch service, delivered in the Marquee. This role will help ensure a smoother, more efficient service by assisting with transportation of food in larger volumes from the main catering area to the marquee. The post holder will also contribute to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness, helping to address current challenges with the existing setup and improving the overall dining experience for all attendees.Requirements and ResponsibilitiesThe following is a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities of the role:Assistant role:Transport food safely and efficiently from the main catering area to the marquee in larger volumes to support smooth service.Assist in setting up the marquee for lunch service, including preparing serving stations and ensuring adequate supplies are available.Support catering staff during service by replenishing food, assisting with portioning, and helping to serve as required.Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the marquee throughout lunch service, including clearing/cleaning tables, and disposing of waste.Ensure food hygiene, health, and safety standards are always followed.Assist in dismantling and cleaning the marquee area after service, ensuring it is ready for the next use.Provide a friendly and helpful presence to contribute to a positive dining experience for attendees.
