About the Role:

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team, supporting local schools in Torquayandnbsp;on a temporary ongoing basis.

Monday-Friday 7am-2:30pm (Term time only).

This is a rewarding role ideal for someone with a passion for food service and who enjoys working in a structured, child-friendly environment. Youandrsquo;ll be a key part of the catering team, helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals to pupils and staff, while ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Assist in the preparation and service of school meals

• 
  

  Ensure food is presented and served in line with school standards

• 
  

  Support with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas

• 
  

  Maintain hygiene standards and follow health andamp; safety protocols

• 
  

  Work closely with the catering supervisor and school staff

• 
  

  Help set up dining areas before and after meal service

Requirements:

• 
  

  Previous experience in a kitchen, canteen, or school catering setting is desirable

• Able to work Monday-Friday 7am-2:30pm (Term time only)
• 
  

  Good understanding of basic food hygiene practices

• 
  

  A positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• 
  

  Reliability and punctuality

• 
  

  Flexibility to work short-term or long-term assignments as needed

• Full and in date UK Drivingandnbsp;licence
