Job Opportunity: Catering Assistant
Location: Whitfield, Dover
Contract Type: Temporary 2 - 3 weeks
Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
Salary: -12.75 per hour

Our client, a dynamic and welcoming organisation in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a dedicated and talented Head Chef to join their culinary team. Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and take/serve orders for food and alcohol as appropriate, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Maintain professionalism and a friendly demeanour, promoting the restaurant through excellent service.
• Manage the till float and handle cashing up with accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene practises and processes, adhering to daily, weekly, and deep cleaning schedules for all restaurant areas.
• Actively upsell products to enhance customer choice and boost profitability.
• Assist with the restaurant''s opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
• Deliver quality, uniformity, and consistency to all customers, upholding the organisation''s high standards.
• Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities as required to support the team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diligent and flexible, with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both with team members and customers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, using initiative when necessary.
• A friendly personality that thrives in a customer-focused environment.

Shift Patterns:

• Early Shift (Mon to Sat): 6:30 am to 12:30 pm
• Early Shift (Sun): 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
• Mid Shift (Mon to Sun): 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Late Shift (Mon to Sun): 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm
