Catering Assistant

Connect 2 Talent Solutions are currently recruiting Catering Assistants to work in primary schools across the West Midlands. This role involves supporting the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and helping the chef deliver meals to pupils in a safe and efficient environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a school setting, supporting day to day operations that help pupils thrive.

(covering areas such as West Bromwich, Dudley, and Tipton)

• Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including surfaces, equipment, and utensils.

• Assist the chef with basic food preparation and serving duties.

• Support meal service during breakfast, lunch, or snack times.

• Ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety are followed at all times.

• Safely manage kitchen waste and cleaning supplies.

• Work in line with school safeguarding and health & safety procedures.

• Interact politely and positively with pupils and staff during mealtimes.

• Experience in a kitchen, catering, or cleaning role is preferred.

• A valid Enhanced CHILD BARRED DBS is essential or willingness to apply for one through CT2S.

• Ability to work well in a busy school environment as part of a team.

• Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards.

• Friendly and approachable attitude.
