Berkeley Scott is seeking a Catering Assistant to support care homes in the Exeter area. About the Role:
We are currently seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and hard-working Catering Assistants to support our client''s Care Homes in and around the Exeterandnbsp;area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is passionate about providing nutritious meals.
As this role is based within a Care Home, an Enhanced DBS is required. If you do not currently have one, we can assist you in applying for one for andpound;61.50, or provide the necessary information for you to apply independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
Ensure kitchen and food service areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
Support with washing up, clearing tables, and general kitchen duties
Follow food hygiene and health andamp; safety standards in line with the Care Home''s policies
Set up the dining area and help manage queues during service times
Provide friendly and professional service to Residents and staff
Essential Requirements:
A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food service environment is desirable
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to the needs of the Care Home
A positive attitude and willingness to take on varied duties as required
