As a Catering Assistant, your duties will include:
Supporting Chef/Catering Manager and kitchen teams
Assisting with the preparation and service of hot and cold food items
Assisting with food service of children, liasing with teachers and care workers
Operating tills and handling payments where required
Clearing down and closing units at the end of shifts
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Following food safety and food allergen legislation at all times
Ensuring food service areas remain clean, organised and well stocked
Working closely with all school staff to deliver an efficient service
What We Are Looking For In Our Catering Assistants
Previous experience working as a Catering Assistant andndash; experience working in education would be advantageous
Food Safety and Food Allergen qualifications, or willingness to complete them, is essential
Possession of an Enhanced DBS with child barring or the willingness to obtain one is essential
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced catering environments
A positive, reliable and professional approach to work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for delivering excellent service and supporting busy catering operations
