What You''ll Be Doing

As part of the catering team, you will:

• Support the Chef, Catering Manager and wider kitchen team
• Help prepare and serve hot and cold food
• Serve meals to children while working closely with teachers and support staff
• Operate tills and process payments where required
• Clean down kitchen and dining areas at the end of service
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and safety
• Follow all food safety and allergen procedures
• Keep food service areas clean, organised and fully stocked
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure an efficient meal service

What We''re Looking For

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment (school catering experience is desirable but not essential)
• Food Safety and Food Allergen qualifications, or a willingness to complete them
• An Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List, or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy catering environment
• A reliable, professional and positive attitude
• Confidence working independently as well as part of a team
• A passion for providing great food service and supporting busy kitchen operations
