About the Role
Berkeley Scott is currently seeking a catering assistant for temporary roles across Bolton, covering schools, stadiums, hotels, and contract catering sites. This position offers flexible shift patterns to suit your schedule, with immediate starts and weekly pay. Key duties involve preparing and serving hot and cold food, clearing and closing the unit after shifts, upholding food safety and allergen standards, and assisting with special events and buffets. Pay rates vary depending on the client, your experience, and the specific role. Previous experience within catering or food service is beneficial. This role provides opportunities to work at various locations throughout Bolton and the surrounding Manchester area.

Key Responsibilities of our Catering Assistant:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items
- Help clear and close the unit at the end of each shift
- Maintain standards in line with food safety and food allergen legislation
- Assist with special events and buffets as required
Pay rates differ dependent on client, experince and role.
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role is ESSENTIAL
- Use of till and/or computerised stock system is advantageous
- Food Safety andamp; Food Allergen Qualifications or willingness to complete IS ESSENTIAL
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment
- Team player with the initiative to work independently
- Driver (preferred but not essential)
- Takes pride in delivering excellent service
