As a Catering Assistant, your duties will include:
andmiddot; Supporting Chef/Catering Manager and kitchen teams
andmiddot; Assisting with the preparation and service of hot and cold food items
andmiddot; Assisting with food service of children, liasing with teachers and care workers
andmiddot; Operating tills and handling payments where required
andmiddot; Clearing down and closing units at the end of shifts
andmiddot; Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
andmiddot; Following food safety and food allergen legislation at all times
andmiddot; Ensuring food service areas remain clean, organised and well stocked
andmiddot; Working closely with all school staff to deliver an efficient service
What We Are Looking For In Our Catering Assistants
andmiddot; Previous experience working as a Catering Assistant andndash; experience working in education would be advantageous
andmiddot; Food Safety and Food Allergen qualifications, or willingness to complete them, is essential
andmiddot; Possession of an Enhanced DBS with child barring or the willingness to obtain one is essential
andmiddot; Strong communication and organisational skills
andmiddot; Ability to work effectively in fast-paced catering environments
andmiddot; A positive, reliable and professional approach to work
andmiddot; Ability to work independently and as part of a team
andmiddot; Passion for delivering excellent service and supporting busy catering operations
