About the Role
Berkeley Scott is seeking a Catering Assistant for temporary roles across school contracts in Ascot, along with hospitals, offices, and other sites. The position offers flexible shift patterns, immediate starts, and weekly pay. Key duties involve preparing and serving hot and cold food, clearing and closing the unit after shifts, upholding food safety and allergen standards, and supporting special events or buffets. Suitable candidates will possess relevant experience and a commitment to hygiene regulations. This role provides variety through placements at multiple locations in the Windsor and Maidenhead area. The salary is competitive based on experience and assignment.

Key Responsibilities of our School Catering Assistant:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items
- Help clear and close the unit at the end of each shift
- Maintain standards in line with food safety and food allergen legislation
- Assist with special events and buffets as required
Our ideal School Catering Assistant:
Pay rates differ depending on client, experience and role.
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role is ESSENTIAL
- Use of till and/or computerised stock system is advantageous
- Food Safety andamp; Food Allergen Qualifications or willingness to complete IS ESSENTIAL
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, sometimes challenging environment
- Team player with the initiative to work independently
- Driver (preferred but not essential)
- Takes pride in delivering excellent service
- Enhanced DBS
