Catering and Events Assistant

Event and Catering Assistant Hourly Rate: £12.85 Location: Tavistock Job Type: Temporary (2-6 weeks) Working Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 6pm We are seeking an Event and Catering Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves a variety of tasks including cleaning, setting up and breaking down events, occasional bar work, and glass collecting. There may also be occasional evening and weekend work. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible and enjoys a dynamic working environment. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare event spaces, ensuring all areas are clean and set up according to the event requirements. Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, handling equipment and decorations carefully. Perform bar duties and collect glasses as needed during events. Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the event space before, during, and after events. Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure events run smoothly and guests'' needs are met. Be available to work additional hours during evenings and weekends when required. Required Skills and Qualifications: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Previous experience in events, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not essential. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
