As a Category Specialist you will be working in the Procurement and Supply Chain department, you''ll play a key role in managing supplier relationships and sourcing strategies to ensure smooth operations. Based in Sheffield, you''ll focus on delivering cost-effective solutions within the industrial and manufacturing sector.Client DetailsThis role is with a company in the industrial and manufacturing sector, based in Sheffield! This will be working on a fixed term contract initially for at least a period of 12 months! This role will be working in a small team of 4, reporting into the team leader. This role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office!DescriptionAs Category Specialist, duties will include, however, not be limited to:Manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance and compliance with agreements.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve optimal terms.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and priorities.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Prepare and present reports on category performance and cost management initiatives.ProfileAs Category Specialist, you should have:Prior experience working within Procurement.Confident managing suppliers and a variety of contracts.Be able to work on a Fixed Term Contract Basis starting Immediately.
