Head of Talent Acquisition at ScottishPowerOffshore Procurement Category ManagerLocation - LondonSalary from £65,600 + up to 20% bonus + family health cover + car allowancePermanent, onsite (hybrid)Help us create a better future, quickerThe Procurement Category Manager – UK and Europe is part of the Procurement Offshore UK and EUR team and reports directly to the Head of Procurement – UK and Europe. This position focuses on leading multimillion tender processes for the UK and Europe Region to help the Region and Projects secure the Supply Chain with the best possible market conditions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing competitive advantage and cost reductions in the acquisition of goods, works and services through professional management of procurement and supply chain activities, including supplier management and negotiation of high value, complex contracts and associated commercial issues.
Working with the business to support development, construction or operation of significant infrastructure projects, assets, systems, and services by understanding business drivers and market dynamics.
Developing appropriate contracting strategies and negotiating important one-off contracts and framework agreements that meet business timescales and specifications.
Leading and supporting the commercial aspects of contract negotiations and managing commercial and contractual activities pre-contract and post-contract where appropriate to ensure delivery of best value while meeting Iberdrola Group Procurement processes.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure commercial risks are identified and reflected in appropriate technical and commercial information.
Ensuring that ScottishPower’s and Iberdrola Renovables Internacional’s requirements are sourced from suitable, ethical and sustainable sources of supply using appropriate contractual and commercial arrangements with balanced risk allocation.
Providing sourcing and purchasing advice to stakeholders and liaising with UK and global colleagues to share information and deliver best value from a common supply chain.
What You’ll Bring
Expert in purchasing practices, tactics, and strategies.
Expert negotiator, focused on securing results.
Strong commercial contract and negotiation experience and experience leading all or part of contract negotiations.
Good knowledge of Offshore Wind international supply chain.
Commercial, strategic and analytical mindset with technical insight.
Strong self-performance management and delivery focus; ability to balance quality, cost and time; able to make decisions in tight timescales; flexible in changing environments; track record of delivery within agreed timescales.
Effective team worker with experience in a multi-functional project team and ability to motivate stakeholders to follow your vision.
Good understanding of financial, commercial and business principles and risk mitigation; knowledge of contract law to seek legal advice when required.
Strong written, numeracy and oral communication skills.
Strong computer systems skills.
Experience in international sourcing (off-shoring).
Minimum Criteria
Track record of building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, internal and external.
Extensive experience in procurement.
Strong numerical and analytical capability.
Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks, projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
