My client is an international law firm, and they are looking to recruit a Catastrophic Injury Associate for their expanding Catastrophic Injury department in Birmingham. An ideal role for Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor ready to step up into Catastrophic Injury work, or a Claimant Solicitor looking to make the move to a top-tier defendant practice. The idea for the role is to have the successful candidate progress to Legal Director.

You’ll be working on a varied caseload of complex, high-value files including RTA, EL/PL, and indemnity matters alongside Legal 500-recognised Partners. This is an excellent opportunity to assist on and run large loss claims, gaining hands-on experience with some of the most challenging and rewarding files in the industry.What you’ll be doing:Managing your own caseload of Catastrophic Injury filesSupporting senior fee earners on significant, high-value catastrophic claimsConducting liability investigations, policy coverage reviews, and quantum assessmentsMentoring junior team members and contributing to their developmentBuilding strong relationships with longstanding clients and helping grow new onesWhat we’re looking for:Previous defendant personal injury experience (Catastrophic Injury not essential)OR claimant solicitors looking to transition into defendant workConfident, client-focused approach with excellent communication skillsWhy join?Salary up to £65,000 DOE + bonusHybrid working (2 days in office / 3 from home)25 days annual leave + option to purchase 5 morePrivate medical and dental, enhanced maternity/paternity, up to 8% pension contributionsClear career progression and development opportunities with the idea to progress to Legal DirectorFor a confidential chat, please get in touch.
