Casualty Solicitor EssexRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Employers'' Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) Casualty Solicitor to join our clients growing insurance practice. The role involves managing a varied and technically challenging defendant caseload.This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who wants to play a meaningful role in a growing and ambitious firm.Key Responsibilities:Managing a full caseload of defendant EL/PL personal injury claims, including litigated mattersAdvising insurers and insured clients on liability, quantum, and coverage issuesDrafting pleadings, witness statements, and schedules; managing disclosure and expert evidenceConducting negotiations and settlement discussions, including Part 36 offers and mediationsInstructing and liaising with counsel and experts where appropriateProviding clear, commercial, and pragmatic advice to insurer and corporate clientsEnsuring compliance with CPR, pre-action protocols, and client service level agreements (SLAs)Supporting junior team members where required and contributing to team developmentBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsCandidate RequirementsEssentialQualified solicitor in England and WalesStrong experience in EL/PL casualty claims, (preferably gained within a defendant insurance environment)Confident managing litigated matters with supervisionSound understanding of liability, quantum, and procedural issuesStrong written and verbal communication skillsCommercial and ..... full job details .....
