Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in cash and banking operations? Our client, a leading organisation within the professional services, is seeking a dynamic Cash and Banking Manager to join their Client Finance team based in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a hybrid working environment, supporting critical client money and banking services while ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Cash and Banking team, promoting a culture of high performance, professional development, and excellent client service.
- Oversee cash management processes including bank reconciliations, allocation of cash received, and the management of unallocated funds.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, client requirements, and relevant regulations (including RICS Client Monies).
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure service delivery standards are met and continuously improved.
- Contribute to internal and external audits, providing expert insight and ensuring readiness.
- Actively participate in projects and system developments to support ongoing innovation and efficiency.
About You
- Qualified or part-qualified (e.g.CICM, CIMA, ACCA), or qualified by experience with a minimum of 3 years in a relevant role.
- Proven experience managing a cash and banking team in a property management or similar professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of client money processes and regulatory requirements.
- Confident communicator with excellent leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and solutions-focused.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge of property management systems (e.g., Trace Tramps, Yardi, Qube Horizon) being highly desirable.
