Carpenter Multi

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter Multi to carry out reactive repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties for an established maintenance contractor in Swindon and the surrounding areas.

The role will be mainly carpentry focused, with some multi-trade work involved. The successful candidate will be carrying out reactive repairs across occupied properties and will need to be comfortable working directly with residents.

Duties

• Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs

   

• Door repairs and replacements

   

• Skirting, architraves and other second-fix carpentry

   

• Kitchen repairs and adjustments

   

• General joinery works

   

• Making good following repairs

   

• Completing minor multi-trade works where required

   

• Working to set specifications and maintaining a high standard of finish

   

• Working independently across multiple occupied properties

   

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter Multi

   

• Strong carpentry and joinery background

   

• Experience carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance

   

• Own tools required

   

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

   

• Good communication and customer service skills

   

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

   

• Social housing or occupied property experience preferred

• Temp-to-perm position

   

• 3 months initially on a temporary basis

   

• Company van provided
