Salary: £20 per hour + Van & Fuel Card

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5.00pm

About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, working on social housing properties across Dartford.

You’ll be carrying out a variety of carpentry repairs and maintenance, along with basic multi-trade tasks (e.g., plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, painting) within occupied and void social housing units. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality work on every job.

Key Responsibilities

• First and second fix carpentry
• Kitchen and door installations
• Basic plumbing (e.g., tap and toilet repairs)
• Tiling and patch plastering
• Painting and decorating
• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance
• Providing excellent customer service in tenant-occupied home
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or Multi-Trade Operative
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry (preferred)
• Experience in social housing or domestic maintenance
• Basic skills in other trades (plumbing, tiling, decorating)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Own tools (power tools provided where required)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
