Cargo Agent

Right Now Group are recruiting for a Cargo Agent to join our client, a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow! You will be joining a fast paced office environment alongside the clients airline partners, ensuring their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world! Responsibilities of a Cargo Agent: You will be required to create and update records of all consignments in the airline computer systems. Separate and distribute cargo documents according to airline requirements. You will be also expected to serve customers collecting cargo including taking payments of charges. Operate a telephone system in a polite and efficient manner. You will liaise with warehouse staff and drivers as appropriate and be responsible for checking dangerous goods to IATA and AVI checks. Skills required to be a Cargo Agent: Great Communication skills via email, telephone and in person. Basic computer skills are essential as you will be operating and using a variety of systems. Previous office experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Fluent in speaking and writing in English is essential. We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5 year checkable employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check).
