Caretaker/Maintenance

Location: SalisburyRate: £16-£18 per hourContract: Temporary until 1 September 2026 (with potential extension)Hours: 08:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-15:30 FridayWe are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, safety and day-to-day operation of a busy educational environment. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose.Key Responsibilities:Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and minor refurbishment works.Conduct site inspections and ensure the premises remain safe, compliant and well-maintained.Coordinate contractors and monitor the delivery of on-site services.Support health and safety compliance, risk assessments and statutory inspections.Monitor fire safety, security systems and respond to site issues as required.Act as a key holder, assisting with site opening, closing and security procedures.Maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation and inventory logs.Obtain quotations, order materials and support contractor procurement.Use facilities management systems to track repairs, jobs and compliance activities.About YouExperience carrying out building maintenance or facilities-related duties.Good understanding of health and safety and statutory complianceKnowledge of building services, security and fire safety procedures.Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.Full UK driving licence.If this ..... full job details .....
