We are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Sittingbourne that are seeking a proactive and skilled premises professional to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stable weekday hours in a supportive school environment.

The Role:

The successful candidate will support the daily operations and upkeep of the school premises. This is a hands-on role requiring someone with strong maintenance and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Opening and securing the school site each day
• Ensuring the school is clean, tidy, and safe for pupils, staff, and visitors
• Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs (DIY, plumbing, decorating, etc.)
• Supporting Health andamp; Safety compliance, including regular checks (fire alarm testing, legionella flushing, COSHH awareness)
• Assisting with site security and porter duties as required
• Liaising with contractors and external services
• Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment throughout the school day

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Caretaker, Site Assistant, or Site Manager role (school experience preferred but not essential)
• Reliable and flexible individual with good practical skills
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance and site safety
• Good time management and ability to work independently
• Someone local to Sittingbourne or able to commute reliably
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Willingness to commit to a long-term contract, working Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day
