Caretaker / Site Supervisor

School Caretaker - OX15

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 weeks
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Pay: -17 - -22 per hour DOE

We are currently looking for an experienced School Caretaker to join a school in the OX15 area on a temporary basis for around 6 weeks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure the school site is safe, secure and well maintained, including:

• Opening the school each morning and carrying out site checks.
• General maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring the school site is safe and secure.
• Setting up rooms for lessons, meetings and events.
• Managing deliveries and contractors.
• Maintaining outdoor areas and grounds.
• Responding to maintenance, health and safety and site issues.
• Reporting any faults or repairs that require further attention.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous caretaker, site assistant or maintenance experience.
• Good practical and DIY skills.
• A reliable and proactive approach.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and respond to issues quickly.
• Previous experience working in a school or similar environment would be advantageous.
