Job Title: CaretakerLocation: Bracknell, BerkshireStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time / Part-time - amend as required Job PurposeWe are seeking a reliable, proactive and flexible Caretaker to support the day-to-day running, safety and presentation of a busy secondary school site in Bracknell. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school buildings and grounds are secure, well maintained and ready for use throughout the school day.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Caretaker will be responsible for:Ensuring the buildings and site are secure, including daily security checks and locking/unlocking at designated timesOpening the site promptly each day and ensuring it is fully prepared for the school daySecuring the site at the end of the day by locking doors, windows and gates, turning off gas and electrical appliances, and setting alarms correctlyActing as a Registered Key Holder and attending emergency call-outs as part of an on-call rotaProactively identifying, reporting and resolving building defects and damaged equipment, maintaining a high standard of repairKeeping accurate records relating to maintenance and site securityWorking in line with health and safety regulations, addressing hazards and reporting serious concerns immediatelyUndertaking general porterage duties, including moving furniture and equipmentSupervising contractors on site under the direction of the Site ManagerOperating site systems such as heating, lighting, cooling and security (including ..... full job details .....
